PATTEN  POINT  YACHT  CLUB

Long Branch, New Jersey

732-229-2882

Welcome to Patten Point Yacht Club. We invite you to explore one of the premiere boating locations on the mid-Atlantic Coast.

Come visit our facilities and discover what we have to offer - a convenient, safe, family-oriented, member-operated yacht club in well protected, picturesque Pleasure Bay of the Shrewsbury River in Monmouth County, New Jersey, a short run from the Atlantic Ocean.

Our Marina

Patten Point Yacht Club has 63 slips on three floating docks which can accommodate boats from 23 to 50 feet in length. Each slip is equipped with power, water and cable TV outlets.

The club also maintains a holding tank pump-out system which features several pumping outlets built right into the docks. There is no need to leave your slip, or to call a pump-out to empty your holding tank.  We also have two power and water supplied T-docks which are reserved for guest and   visiting boaters.

For members who wish to winter their vessels in the water at the club, our “bubbler” system for the docks and pilings is available at no charge. Individual “bubbler” hoses may be purchased through the club.

PPYC also has 18 small slips which can accommodate boats less than 23 feet in length for members who wish to keep a second boat at the club. There are also spaces for jet skis.

Our Club

We are a working, friendly, family oriented club. Members work together on many projects for the benefit of all. Whether it's cleaning up the house in preparation for the season, bubbling the docks, trimming the hedges or just sprucing up the place, we all work together to make PPYC a better place.

We have at least 10 scheduled social events during the year. Our 4th of July picnic often exceeds a turnout of over 300 members, family and guests. Spontaneous parties pop up regularly.

Commissioning Day Ceremonies are complete in the Naval tradition, right down to the blast of a cannon.

We try to plan two club cruises a year. Whether it's a shake down cruise to a nearby marina or an extended trip to the LI Sound or down the Jersey coast, you'll have fun cruising together with other club members. In addition, many boats (and other guests) raft up and have fun at the Ka-Boom Fireworks in Red Bank on July 3rd.

Our Facilities

In addition to our beautiful turn of the century club house, we have a large swimming pool with shaded deck, regulation horseshoe pit and bocce ball court, basketball hoop, children's swings and play area, dog walk and 5 bar-b-que grills.

We have free parking for members and guests in our own lot. We also offer limited storage for trailers without boats during the summer and small boats on trailer during the winter.

As a member, you can also rent our facility during the off season for a nominal fee to host you own party or event. We offer a computer and TV area for the kids and WiFi so you can access the internet from your boat.

Nestled in the calm, back waters of the Shrewsbury River, Patten Point Yacht Club is ideally located to launch cruises north, into New York Harbor, up the Hudson River, or Long Island Sound.

Or you can easily head out to the ocean and south to the Manasquan, Barnegat Bay, Atlantic City and beyond. You will also find enthusiastic fisher-people at PPYC who know where all the best spots are.

Historic Patten Point Clubhouse

Our historic clubhouse was once the luxurious 19th century mansion built by Thomas Patten, owner and operator of the Sea Bright & Long Branch Steamboat Company.

The house is adorned with beautiful designs of Patton’s day including turned post woodwork, garlanded medallion ceilings, a Victorian balustrade and several exquisite mantels.

Our boating home features a large, modern kitchen, a fully equipped bar, a recently remodeled sitting room, a “Great” room, and a wrap-a-around, enclosed porch/dining area over-looking Pleasure Bay. The house is the focal point for our many activities, parties and meetings throughout the year.
